Kornia’s relation to PyTorch Geometry/Geometric#

This project started as a small differentiable geometric computer vision package called PyTorch Geometry released during the PyTorch devcon 2018 (see the presented poster). The project evolved into a more generic computer vision library and, due to the naming conflict with PyTorch Geometric, we decided to rename the whole package and focus on more generic vision functionalities.

Kornia’s relation to other computer vision projects#

The project mimics some of the functionalities found in OpenCV. Even though the project is backed by OpenCV.org, there is no intention at all to merge the two projects in any form. Kornia is meant to provide differentiable operators to train networks, while OpenCV’s scope is inference.
